This past festive season, our Christmas Wrapping Project was a success, we are immensely thankful to our team of volunteers who shared their time for the wrapping and to all the donors all shoppers we wrapped gifts for.

Our first spotlight shines on BAT MAD GP—a passionate team on a mission to rescue, rehabilitate, and release bats across Gauteng.
Bats are often misunderstood, shrouded in myth and superstition, yet their work is nothing short of vital. Here’s why supporting BAT MAD GP matters:
- Guardians of Balance: Bats are South Africa’s unsung ecological heroes. A single colony can consume tones of insects each night, providing crucial natural pest control.
- Unique & Protected: They are the world’s only true flying mammals. South Africa is home to 75 incredible species, all of which are protected by law.
- Dispelling Myths: Bats are not blind! They possess excellent vision and navigate with sophisticated echolocation. (And yes, their adorable young are called ‘pups’!)
